Late to class:

Alarm is going off (time is 9:30am) Jack looks at it with disdain, then looks at Bobby. Bobby opens his eyes, mumbles, then rolls over.

Jack: (throws off covers ) Dude, your alarm has been going off for fifteen minutes (stares at Bobby )

Bobby: (Mumbles and rolls over )

Jack: (walks over and shakes Bobby awake ) Wake up man! And turn off your alarm!

Bobby: (still in a sleepy haze ) but I don’t wanna get up ma.

Jack: (laughs hysterically ) I ain’t your mother man.

Bobby: Holy Crap. What time is it?

Jack: It’s 9:30

Bobby: (rushed ) I have to get to class! (Jumps up, puts on shoes, gabs back pack and leaves in his Pj’s )

(end scene )

Class

(Bobby walks into the classroom noticeably out of breath )

Dr. Clapp: (Is reading papers at his desk ) It’s good of you to grace us with your presence Mr. O’Conner. (looks up ) The rest of class is taking a quiz. Please take a paper (hands him a ditto ) and have a seat.

Bobby: Sorry I’m late Dr. Clapp (takes the ditto )

Dr. Clapp: (looks back at papers ) Don’t let it happen again.

Bobby: (Takes seat. Looks nervous, even shaky stares at the quiz as if it’s a foreign object, he starts to write, breaks his pencil, digs in his bag for a pen. Etc. )

Dr. Clapp: (stands ) Please pass in your quizzes (walks over to Bobby, who ends up being the one to get all the quizzes. Takes the quizzes from Bobby ) Class dismissed.

Girl 1: (Standing, putting on her back pack ) That was the easiest quiz Dr. Clapp has ever given.

Bobby: I totally failed it!

Girl 2: (patting Bobby’s shoulder ) That’s ok Bobby, it’s only worth 15% of your grade.

(end scene )

Roommate

(Bobby walks in his room, his roommate is playing some game on the computer and listening to loud music )

Jack: (loudly ) Yo, Bob-man, how’d the quiz go?

Bobby: (surprised ) You knew I had a quiz?

Jack: (pauses game, looking perturbed, turns to look at Bobby ) Dude you posted it in your away message last night.

Bobby: Oh (laughs ) oops! Yeah, I totally fell asleep studying, and then when I got to class I forgot we were having it. It was awful. (falls on bed )

Jack: (stands up and kicks Bobby’s bed ) C’mon man, some D-hall food should cheer you up.

Bobby: (sitting up ) Or make me sick.
